Seva Kendras passport to manage 50% of appointments

In a bid to prevent Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs)/Passport Seva Laghu Kendra (PSLK) and Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (PoPSKs) operating under Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad from turning into super spreaders, it has been decided to manage operations at these Kendras with 50% appointments through January 31.

Only medical emergencies and genuine travel emergencies supported by proper documentation will be handled at the Public Inquiry Desk in the Regional Passport Office. The public inquiry counter would operate until 12:30 p.m., instead of the usual 4 p.m., until January 31. Applicants were advised not to purchase airline tickets without a valid passport and travel documents. The passport issuance process could take a little longer given the current situation, officials said.
